Description:
The Web & eMarketing Coordinator is a key driver for Sunshine’s web sites (skibanff.com, SunshineMountainLodge.com, store.skibanff.com) and eMarketing initiatives. Sunshine’s digital products are critical public information and marketing tools for Sunshine Village, resources for the news media, archives of video and images and tools to sell products and services to the public.
Essential Functions:
- On-line sales, regular site updates, design and efficiency of Sunshine’s websites
- Creating and executing email newsletters to segmented lists of Sunshine Village patrons
- Monitor and report web traffic and trends; analyze web site performance
- Participate in web related strategic projects and communicate project needs to other team members
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Web Design
- Regularly update the design, look and feel of Sunshine sites
- Improve web sites and applications by evaluating current web implementation; analyzing user feedback; researching new technology and trends; testing new applications; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional conferences
On-line Internet Marketing Management (in conjunction with marketing team)
- Search Engine Optimization management
- E-mail database management
- Integrating key marketing goals into web strategy
- On-line contests and promotions management
E-Commerce Management
- Maintain and develop product sales (passes, ski school, and logo wear, etc.); and booking systems (hotel, ski & snowboard school)
Web Development and Support
- Web updating and on-call support as required
Budgeting and Reporting
- Track and report web site performance/campaigns
- Monitor site usage, activity, load and performance, and produce regular reports.
Experience/Requirements
- Post-secondary education in web design is essential
- Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Extreme attention to detail
- Understand fundamental design principals
- Strong knowledge of W3C compliant HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience with server side web programming using ASP.NET an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM an asset
- Experience with Cloud environments Azure and Amazon EC2 an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
