Product Marketing Specialist full-time

Ballard has an opportunity for a temporary full-time Product Marketing Specialist in our Business Intelligence & Marketing team for 12 – 14 months as a maternity leave backfill. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the successful candidate is well-versed in B2B marketing practices and will lead activities in content development, market and competitive analysis, social media, and lead nurturing.
Responsibilities:

Content Development (30%):
- Develop product positioning and messaging that communicates the value proposition of the company’s products and differentiates the products in the market.
- Create and publish relevant, original, high-quality content that supports the selling process of the company’s products.
- Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.

Market and Competitive Analysis (30%):
- Collect data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.

Social Media (20%):
- Manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
- Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about the company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.

Lead Nurturing (20%):
- Optimize the marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
- Distribute marketing qualified inquiries and leads to the sales channel.
- Report on the ROI for all lead generation programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or marketing
- 5 – 7 years of experience in product and technology B2B marketing
- Professional writing experience in a variety of forms and media (e.g., white papers, press releases, blogs, collateral, emails, etc.)
- Proficient in the use of internet technologies, including social media and blogging platforms
- Demonstrated accomplishments in introducing new technology to the marketplace
- Excellent computer and technical skills in all aspects of MS Office Suite
- Very strong communication abilities
- Exceptional analytical abilities – strategic with critical thinking skills
- Excellent team player with effective leadership skills
- Motivated self-starter, able to work independently in a multi-priority and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface and work cooperatively across an organization
