SMART is recruiting a product marketing manager for its Calgary office. Reporting to the manager, product marketing, you will be working closely with Product Management, Segment Marketing and Sales to integrate and align launch plans, messaging, channel initiatives and in-year marketing activities. The primary goal of this role is achievement of global revenue and share objectives.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Developing and executing 15-month rolling product marketing plans for a specified product or group of products
- Generating revenue and share forecasts, drive results and deliver against budgets and timelines
- Translating product definitions and positioning into customer-focused messaging targeted at various market segments
- Planning and managing the creation of foundational materials for products, including fact sheets, website material, case studies and multimedia pieces
- Developing and executing go-to-market plans for new products and sustaining marketing activity for products already in market
- Engaging with international marketing teams to ensure localization of plans and alignment to objectives
- Establishing the channel’s foundational knowledge of a product and its value proposition
- Ensuring sales and the channel are kept current on product updates, plans and campaigns
- Managing the production of channel materials, such as sales tools, presentations, co-branded marketing and channel-driven promotional campaigns
- Working with research groups to gather and develop market insights
- Gathering and report against key metrics to support assessing impact of initiatives
You have the following qualifications:
- Degree in marketing or a related field
- At least five years experience in marketing, technology product marketing (B2B), product management or international marketing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Proficient using Microsoft® Office software, and an ability to learn new software quickly
