The BC Public School Employers’ Association seeks a skilled and results-driven digital marketing professional to play a vital role in strengthening French education in British Columbia. The Coordinator, Marketing & Community Engagement will leverage their marketing expertise to develop and execute digital strategies aimed at recruiting French teachers (Francophone, French Immersion, and French as a Second Language). This role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles and the ability to implement effective candidate attraction activities to support BC's French language programs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Talent Acquisition, the Coordinator, Marketing & Community Outreach plays a crucial role in attracting French teacher candidates to BC. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage one’s breadth of marketing expertise and contribute to the growth of French education in our province.
The main responsibilities of the job are:
- Branding: Collaborate with the Manager, French Teacher Marketing and partners to develop messaging, coordinate branding strategies, and raise awareness of French teaching careers in BC.
- Marketing & Communications: Coordinate, refine and optimize recruitment and marketing plans to maximize engagement and conversions.
- Web Management & Strategy: Collaborate with the Manager to develop engaging bilingual content for the French teacher microsite.
- Search Engine Marketing (SEM) & PPC Advertising: Manage and optimize paid and organic search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Meta.
- Content Creation & Lead Generation: Develop compelling marketing content (video, blog posts, infographics, etc.) and landing pages to generate leads.
- Digital Marketing & Campaign Management: Coordinate social media campaigns, email marketing, and digital advertising to engage and nurture candidates.
- SEO & Analytics: Lead SEO activities to improve organic visibility and search rankings.
- Community Engagement & Support: Monitor the online presence and reputation of Make a Future while responding to candidate inquiries across digital platforms.
- Data Analysis: Analyze marketing data and establish metrics to measure KPIs for web marketing, social advertising, SEO, and PPC campaigns.
Education and Experience
The Coordinator, Marketing & Community Outreach must possess:
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing or a combination of relevant work experience and education demonstrating expertise in digital marketing and communications
- Two (2) – five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Bilingualism in French and English is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, content management systems, graphic design applications, and marketing software
- Experience working in the public sector and direct experience in the K-12 sector is an asset
Competitive Compensation and Benefits
The expected hiring salary range for this position is $77,871 - $84,741. We offer 13 statutory holidays, a competitive benefits package, including extended health and dental with immediate coverage upon starting, and a $2,000 annual wellness allowance, as well as a pension with the Municipal Pension Plan after 12 months of full-time service. In determining salary, BCPSEA considers many factors, including the candidate’s competencies, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
This is a Ministry-funded role for a term ending June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Hybrid Structure
We offer a hybrid work schedule with the option for remote work for the majority of the work week. There will be times when in-person work is required.
