Marketing Strategist full-time
Kirk Marketing is Canada’s leading direct marketing services provider and we’re seeking an experienced and focused marketing strategist to help guide our corporate and client-based marketing initiatives.
Working out of our Richmond, BC office you will be responsible for delivering direct marketing communications for our clients and driving revenue at the highest level. The right person will assess and make recommendations for clients’ initiatives, draft proposals, and build out short and long-term strategic plans. This person should be a marketer with solid sales skills, developing and managing a full lifecycle of marketing and promotional communications, coordinating marketing initiatives, actively meeting with new and existing clients, and overseeing corporate brand integrity. We need an action-oriented “doer” as well as a “thinker” to bring value to our clients and Kirk Marketing. Our candidate should have a strong track record of executing projects smoothly and a demonstrable competency in marketing strategy, particularly in direct marketing.
Major Responsibilities…
- Generate Revenue for Marketing Services
- Analysis and development of client’s marketing strategy, with a focus on direct marketing and data analytics
- Build and execute annual marketing plan, ensuring brand identity and consistency
- Present programs that position Kirk as thought leader
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Kirk to optimize all marketing programs
- Lead in the marketing of Kirk to clients
- Drive increase in basic Kirk direct mail services – creating client satisfaction and retention
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and knowledge of best practices in the marketing industry and share that knowledge with clients and internal teams
As the ideal candidate, you will have…
- A minimum five years experience in marketing, preferably with a direct marketing focus
- A minimum two year marketing or business certificate
- Expert understanding of advertising and marketing principles
- Strong business acumen, ability to discuss clients’ company goals and targets
- Ability to create presentations and reports for understanding by clients
- Previous experience in direct marketing
- Previous experience in non-profit or fundraising
- Supervisory experience an asset
- Experience building and executing strategic plans
- Experience working with online marketing and social media
- Understanding of web analytics
- Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts
- Excellent presentation skills
- Working knowledge of graphic design and page layout application programs
