The AD, Marketing Analytics will partner with Marketing, Rewards, and Product Development (Business Technology) teams and develop the segmentation strategy, data strategy, and analytical design to identify and understand key strategies and collector segments that increase engagement in AMRP in support of strategic and financial outcomes. Introduce new analytical tools, models and processes while building a high performing analytics team.
The role works collaboratively with Marketing to bring the Collector and Marketing strategies to life, Product Development (Business Technology) to develop and implement analytics capabilities, and collaborates with Rewards and Finance on modeling and analytics.
What will you be doing?
The role is accountable for defining the analytical roadmap in support of Marketing, Rewards and Product Development (Business Technology) departments and for developing, communicating and delivering a fully integrated testing strategy and design that addresses overall Program priorities. The roadmap includes collector and financial perspectives and must balance and consider the complexity of multiple stakeholder needs and multiple Collector segments, creating and upholding the principles of Marketing and Channel Effectiveness. The AD, Marketing Analytics acts as an analytical conscience and measurement expert for the AMRP Program through recommending data governance principles and for developing and maintaining the Campaign Compendium.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the design and management of the AMRP Analytics Strategy for Marketing, Product Development and Rewards, including Digital data strategy, Experimental Design, and measurement best practices
Help lead major Analytics & Insights projects to enhance processes in channel selection and targeting in campaign design and measurement, and associated change management for effective implementation and adoption
Responsible for ensuring effective use of program marketing and channels within the context of Collector Experience and Engagement and ROI, through analytic and campaign thought leadership, application of experimental design best practice and development of change management processes to create a data driven decision culture
Collaborates with AM Cash team by providing analytic, segmentation and campaign direction and counsel, as well as defining and delivering advanced analytics to drive program objectives
Direct and coach Analytics Managers and Analysts on the execution and measurement of marketing, collector, and digital initiatives and introduce suggestions and solutions to address specific issues facing Marketing, Rewards and Product Development (Business Technology) teams
Lead a team of 12 Managers and Analysts, motivating them to high performance by creating frameworks to guide their work and by encouraging collaboration, innovation and creativity
Manage existing technology and infrastructure available to the Analytics team to ensure a full range of technical support for Marketing, Product Development (BT) and Rewards teams. These activities may include the monitoring of use and leveraging of capabilities as well as a vision to what technologies and infrastructure could support the team in the future.
Provides thought leadership to International and Business Development teams on strategy and analytics
Develops and oversees training to all analytic resources on our data, tools, and processes
What will you bring?
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or in any of the following (or combination of): Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Math
Minimum of 8-10 years of directly-related work experience in managing analysis and insight delivery
Minimum of 5 years of Leadership / management experience
Technical Skills - experience with Excel, Access, SAS, SQL, R, relational databases, data warehouses, analytics systems (e.g. Micro strategy, Tableau), Unica etc.
Expert knowledge of core marketing disciplines - research, data and analytics, planning and implementation and test design
Highly proficient in advanced analytical and statistics techniques and digital marketing analytics
Experience in planning and measuring highly complex, large scale multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Business Skills - strong understanding of retail / financial - direct marketing (market research, experimental design); interpret research, extracting insights, linking to strategies, and communicating a compelling summary of findings and drive results, client communication and presentation.
