Web Designer full-time
Founded in 1994, Century Private School is dedicated in providing first-class education to embrace the vision of our student’s achieving excellence through their experience, offering a safe, pleasant, and nurturing environment for students from Montessori preschool (21/2 years) to high school (grade 12), followed by an enriched version of the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum.

Century Private School is seeking to recruit a talented and innovative Web Designer who will be responsible for evaluating, improving and maintaining our digital presence to join our dynamic team.
About the Position
This is a challenging full-time position that encourages you to utilize your complete set of skills and experience to effectively communicate our school's missions and values through the cutting-edge web design and digital communications.
Responsibilities
- Establish design guidelines, standards and optimal design practices.
- Evaluate, update and maintain responsive and user-friendly website and other digital platforms that serve multiple stakeholders including students, parents, and staff.
- Create and update unique external and internal digital content and graphic materials that reflect the school's brand, educational philosophy, and current academic offerings. This could include newsletters, web banners, and static imagery.
- Create engaging multimedia content to highlight school achievements, student life, and academic programs.
- Create consistent visual branding across all digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain online student and parent portals.
- Integrate interactive features such as event calendars, news sections, and academic program showcases.
- Perform user experience testing and implement improvements of the web design.
- Participate in school’s strategic planning meetings to contribute digital communication insights.
- Stay current with web design trends and educational website best practices and recommend and implement technological improvements to enhance digital communications.
Requirements
- Completion of a college’s diploma or bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic arts, computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in web designer, graphic designer, or a related role.
- Language of work: English.
- Proficiency in editing graphics software, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suites.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptable and collaborative working style.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
Employment Term
Full-time permanent position, 35 hours /week, Monday to Friday
Compensation
Salary will be $35.00 to $38.00 per hour, subject to review annually.
