The Account Manager, Coffee and Breakroom is responsible for developing their territory through direct acquisition of net new customers and by supporting G&T sales representatives in increasing category growth of the Food Service & Breakroom category, with an emphasis on Office Coffee and related items. Through provision of product/sales training, sales program education and sales-cycle support, this associate will work with a group of experienced Account Mangers to identify opportunities and grow accounts within a large, mature, base of existing business.
Accountabilities
- Achieve revenue & gross profit quotas
- Support generalist Account Managers in opportunity identification / lead generation
- Participate regularly in sales calls and support the closing of business
- Educate, train and develop expertise in the sales reps workforce
- Liaise with local vendor / manufacturer personnel coordinating training and selling support efforts
- Understand and execute upon G&T’s business strategy as it relates to the Office Coffee & Breakroom space.
- Provide feedback and direction on local competitive activity
- Collaborate with G&T’s Business Development team to develop required selling tools and marketing collateral
Qualifications
- Minimum Community College Diploma
- Minimum 5 years experience selling coffee solutions with a major office coffee provider
- Proven track record of developing accounts and growing revenue
- Familiarity with solution selling techniques / methodologies
- Exceptional interpersonal, communications and networking skills
- Solid solution selling and negotiation skills
- Training and mentoring experience
- Strategic thinker with advanced leadership skills
