Writer/Translator full-time
We are looking for a fluently bilingual writer (English and French) to adapt our new and existing content for English Canada. Reporting to the Content director in Montreal, the Writer/Translator will be responsible for writing copy for the brand's website and its various campaigns, in collaboration with the Content, Acquisition and CX teams.
Main tasks
Provide expert advice on best practices for an Ontario/English Canadian market;
Adapt and/or translate existing content from French to English;
Write engaging and impactful copy for our different campaigns, ads, acquisition emails and landing pages (slogans, taglines, CTAs and product/service descriptions);
Write social media posts and optimized blog posts;
Write any other content that may be requested by a member of the marketing or product team;
Keep abreast of trends in advertising, digital content and SEO;
Assist other departments with editing, translating and proofreading of documents;
Respect the tone and voice of the brand;
Contribute to the deployment of Cook it in Ontario.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in creative writing, literature, communications, marketing, translation, journalism or other related field
4-5 years experience in a similar role
Ability to write creative copy for both longform and short form content
Strong writing and synthesis skills, as well as impeccable grammar and spelling in French and English
Strong experience in e-commerce and SEO
A good foundation in UX/UI
Strong interest in information technology and customer relations
Ability to create compelling and effective content
Experience with Wordpress or other CMS a plus.
