Sr. User Experience Designer full-time

Key Responsibilities
- Website Planning and Preparation: Interpret user research for best design approach, provide estimates for UX component of projects, develop Information Architecture, assist in planning of site structure, and sketch basic layouts and wireframes
- Website Design: Ensure website projects are visually effective, easy to access, and meet client business or internal objectives
- Website Build: Assist in creation of HTML/CSS site templates and CMS templates and themes
- Website Maintenance: Edit and update existing websites as needed
- Marketing Collateral and Print Graphics Design: Design promotional material, graphic elements, branding standards documents
- Reporting: Create weekly summary reports to document achievements

Compensation
- $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience

About You
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a web designer and front end developer
- Strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, AJAX, SASS, UI Design, IA Principles
- Experience with JIRA, SVN
- Understanding of project planning stages and development cycles
- Experience creating/customizing Wordpress and Drupal themes and templates
- Fluency in current graphic design and web development software such as Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Experience with JIRA and SVN
- Strong design style, including creative design solutions within the constraints of the internet
- Strong conceptual skills, including online software concepts and online experience concepts
- Solid ability to convert requirements into deliverables & take responsibility for them
- Understanding of, and experience in, corporate branding, layout, colour theory, and typography in both print and digital media
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, internal motivation, and a sense of urgency
- Familiarity with agile, specifically scrum and kanban is an asset
- Desire to learn and improve
Annual Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
