Job Description
Sourcing Manager, lululemon athletica inc.
Reporting to the Product Operations Manager, the Sourcing Manager will create and maintain the source plan for lululemon’s product line on a seasonal and long-term basis in accordance to its global sourcing strategy. This role will develop factory relationships and deliver quality products in a timely, consistent manner. The Sourcing Manager will develop plans and strategies that will address lululemon’s margin goals while working with cross-functional teams to certify factories for social responsibility, quality assurance and environmental objectives. Ensure understanding and compliance with Company and departmental policies/procedures and internal controls In addition, this role will require both domestic and international travel.
The Ideal Candidate:
- University degree required
- 7-9 years of sourcing/production experience required
- 3-5 years of management experience required
- Traveled and worked with suppliers outside of North America, preferably in Asia
- Must understand technical fabrics and constructions, including welding, seam taping, glued seams, and laser cutting
- Knowledge in cross-functional operations is preferred, including merchandising, distribution/logistics, planning, allocations and QA
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft office applications and Outlook a must, familiarity with PLM software)
- Knowledge of global, regional and country specific trade programs/regulations
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and objectively
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strategic thinking & visionary skills required
