POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re iamota – a full service digital agency based in Yaletown. We’re hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Director of Production, and works collaboratively with team members across disciplines to deliver remarkable digital experiences for people across all screens.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

On a day-to-day basis, you will need to be capable of meeting/exceeding these responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the flawless execution of projects from concept to completion, delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Utilize your crystal clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Show that you are a true team collaborator with the ability to work independently and self-start
  • Produce accurate project estimates, and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure the quality of all client deliverables
  • Ability to write detailed and descriptive technical and functional requirements documents
  • Assess and mitigate risk, control project requirements, control scope and change management issues
  • Control project profitability
  • Schedule, monitor and report on activities related to the project
  • Manage production, including design development, copy deck development, programming and quality assurance
  • Manage project team: both internal and external resources
  • Execute competitive analysis, research, content audits
  • Work with clients to obtain required assets
  • Present for client approval at all appropriate stages of strategy, creative and technical production
  • Obtain internal approvals at all appropriate stages of strategy, creative and technical production
  • Identify client opportunities
  • Meet with the Director of Client Solutions on a regular basis to flag project / client issues and recommend new opportunities to help select clients achieve their goals

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 8 years experience in a full service digital agency environment, managing projects such as responsive cross device (smartphone, tablet, desktop) websites, large ecommerce websites, social media campaigns and strategy, mobile applications and content strategy
  • Detailed technical and functional document writing experience is a must
  • Experience managing projects with budgets in excess of $500k
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and proactively on behalf of clients
  • Experience leading collaborative working sessions with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and document those requirements
  • Experience in documenting detailed creative and functional briefs
  • Experience in documenting user interface guides and developer guides
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills is a must
  • Direct experience working with project management tools, Gantt chart timelines (e.g. Microsoft Project or Merlin), project estimating, technical and functional document writing, and knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics is required
  • Working experience with Wordpress content management system, Magento Enterprise platform and Jira workflow issue and bug-tracking software is required.
