Job Description

This position will play a major role in partnering with management across IT and all channels & markets to evaluate the approach for entering new, international markets.

Core Accountabilities:

• Provide front door into and from IT for all new market entry
• Liaison between mgmt in IT, and all 3 channels (B&M, Strat Sales, eCOM) to this end
• Develop realistic timelines and checklists for IT that capture and highlight key business decisions and critical work drivers, providing the teams with visibility and the opportunity to anticipate new market entry by-whens for exceptional delivery
• Ensure existing systems, process, workflows support new market introductions to achieve financial objectives
• Identify and document gaps and decision points in current process, facilitate resolution
• Advise cross functional leadership to optimise workflow and process with current process
• Document process and requirements for international phased solutions that are repeatable and can scale accordingly in alignment with our growth strategies
• Liaise between Retail and supply chain ops mgmt, and IT to achieve the balance between current quick fix solutions, mid-term and longer term strategic solutions
• Keep the lights on: Work to resolve process, distribution operational matters in markets – escalating to IT delivery mgrs
• Educates the IT organization on the current international business process, priorities and issues
• Subject matter expert on the subtleties of international retail
• Work with application developers through the development and configuration cycles to ensure systems and modifications meet international business needs

Required Skills, Experience and Academic/Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or other related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of IT experience and business analysis experience, including experience in project management and in international/new market entry
• Requires a high level of understanding of the organization’s business systems and processes as well as current industry-wide requirements
• Excellent working knowledge in the following areas: business process definition and reengineering, business requirements and functional specification definition, international retail
• Working knowledge of the following preferred: JDA Systems, International Logistics Systems, Merchandise Planning Systems, Inventory Management, Allocation, Master Data Management, Point of Sale, Financial Reporting and Warehouse Management
• Must demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, tactical execution, project management, process management and business systems requirements definition
• Excellent communication skills
• Possesses knowledge and experience leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements
