Senior Advisor, Creative Services full-time
JOB OVERVIEW
The role is responsible for contributing to and implementing the corporate advertising strategy and the brand/visual identity standards and tools for the company. In addition, the role provides expertise in the development and coordination of best practices and resources for creative, visual identity, film and photography production and graphic standards and is the primary coordinator of the approved contractor list for those suppliers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Advertising implementation
- Provide expertise into the development of the corporate advertising strategy
- Lead implementation of the strategy, including budget development and campaign planning to ensure effective delivery of the program
- Evaluate advertising campaigns to ensure proper execution, delivery of campaign goals, appropriate return on investment and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide direction to creative agencies to fulfill advertising needs
- Brand creative oversight
- Work with communication resources to provide oversight to brand creative implementation
- Develop/maintain brand creative program standards and ensure coordination and alignment of internal and external brands with the overall program
- Maintain a selection of branded templates within the company
- Provide orientation on the application and use of Suncor's branding standards
- Approve branded applications for internal and external users
- Act as primary contact with legal and intellectual property teams on visual identity related issues, i.e trademarks, naming, logos, advertising, endorsements
- Approve branding standards for sponsorship opportunities
- Visual media production
- Execute photography and film production related to advertising, visual media library, special projects and various department needs
- Coordinate asset delivery and storage
- Maintain current list of recommended contractors for advertising, design, photography and film support
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in marketing
- Degree or diploma in graphic design or visual or communication arts is beneficial
- Minimum five years of experience in marketing, advertising, graphic design, and visual identity programs within a company, or at an agency
Skills and Knowledge:
- Able to applies a project management toolkit to define scope, objectives, priorities and resource requirements
- Able to manage multiple timelines, projects and risks/issues
- Able to lead cross-functional or virtual teams
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal clients, external contacts and senior management
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in both Windows and Mac operating systems
- Proficient with design software (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop)
- Basic understanding of creative and technical production processes as applied to all media including static (print), dynamic (video/audio) and interactive (web/apps)
