Department
Western Canada's Proposal Group is looking for an energetic, team-oriented individual, with excellent
communication skills to work as part of the business development team in our Vancouver Area Office.
Tasks
This person's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Assist with coordination, scripting and production of responses to SOQs, RFQs, RFPs and Design-Build
requests
* Develop resumes, project sheets and other general collateral, in addition to written proposal content.
This will involve advanced word processing skills and preferably a working knowledge of graphics
software
* Manage deadlines and responsibilities assigned through responsibility matrix
* Provide persuasion through effective, quality writing
* Market research as required
* Other marketing and business development responsibilities as they develop
Requirements
* 3+ years in proposal writing/coordination in the AlElC industry
* Bachelors degree in English, Marketing, Communication or related degree
* Excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition as well as oral communication and
interpersonal skills
* Documented experience with technical writing for proposals
* Ability to problem solve and think critically
* Must be flexible to accommodate varied hours that accompany a client-deadline driven environment and
some extended work hours including weekends
* Must be a team player and capable of sourcing information from a wide array of staff in various
geographic locations, using various methods including written requests and/or interviews, both in-person
and via telephone
* Demonstrated experience working remotely and in a mobile environment a plus
* Ability to self-manage a process and complete tasks independent of oversight
* Solid organizational skills with a key focus on attention to detail and quality are a must
* Ability to work within a team structure
* Work to meet strict deadlines and comply with all mandated specifications
* Advanced and professional communication, writing, and editing skills in the English language
* Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office 2007/2010 suite, including development and use of templates,
styles and all advanced functions.
* Proficient in Adobe CS: InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro as well as general graphic design
knowledge
* Familiarity with databases a plus (CRM Platforms)
