Product Line Manager
Under the Merchandise Operations umbrella, the Product Line Manager is the connector for the Pod. You own the communication, updates and alignment across the entire Pod Team. Cross-functional work is our passion and the Go to Market process is our venue.
a day in the life of a Product Line Manager:
- You work with senior executives thru individual contributors to manage risk and drive cross functional alignment for a specific business unit
- You facilitate the workflow from the inception of a season through to the release of the seasonal buy
- Through analysis of leading indicators and performance metrics you create cross functional mitigation plans to manage and resolve risk
- You create solutions to complex issues that affect multiple functions
- You build relationships every day and are a support to all functions in the Pod
- You coach individuals and teams on how to find the solution to their issues
- You hold individuals and teams accountable to meeting their deadlines
- You deep dive into seasonal Issues to identify trends in process or tool gaps
- You can work independently and collaboratively within a team to drive solutions
- You have the ability to explain complex and difficult issues to senior leaders to drive appropriate decisions
The finer print
- PMP or Bachelor Degree in business, merchandise management, or related field
- You have 2-5 years experience working in operations for a vertically integrated global retail apparel company
- You have strong project management experience with demonstrated ability to manage conflicts
- You have experience working in a retail operations environment to drive continuous improvement
- You have the ability to act objectively and uncover facts
- You understand the complexities of the cross functional requirements to deliver product
- You are a clear, concise and confident communicator that lives to support the business
- You enjoy a fast pace environment and can create order from chaos
