Marketing Manager full-time
ROLE
As Marketing Manager, you take care of River Market’s external-facing activities in our mission to become the best market for feast and fun. You are in charge of communications, advertising, promotions, public relations, sponsorships, events, and programs. Your priority this year is to attract more guests to River Market, especially during the slower winter months. This role is a unique opportunity to practice integrated marketing for a community hub with culture and commerce. You will also gain hands-on experience in retail operation, real estate management, and community building. The talented candidate can expect to be promoted within 18 to 24 months. Marketing Manager reports to Market’s Director and works alongside Market’s General Manager. You are also supported by Marketing Coordinator, Special Events Manager, and Communications Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop annual marketing plan to set goals, manage budget, and direct team energy
- Communicate with tenants, guests, and community partners
- Direct advertising in print, transit, broadcast, and online media
- Create promotion campaigns to help grow tenants’ businesses
- Cultivate relationships with media contacts
- Grow community investment through sponsorships
- Enable external groups host events in the Market
- Help grow internal events like monthly themes, Curious Flea, and Artisans Market
- Help grow internal programs like River Critters Kids Baking Class
