The Opportunity
The Co-operators is looking to hire a Marketing Manager for its Montreal Office.
The incumbent defines, plans and establishes marketing strategies (advertising, promotions, sponsorships, events, etc.) as well as communication strategies which contribute to achieving the objectives of the various distribution networks of The Co-operators group of companies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Recommend, initiate, plan and manage all the Marketing activities in consideration of the positioning and the objectives of each of the distribution networks according to the industry segment and in particular for the Quebec market.
Recommend and manage the budgets required for the marketing actions of the various distribution networks.
Respond to requests from other departments regarding external communication and marketing activities as per the established priorities and budgets.
Negotiate collaborations with partners (associations, suppliers, etc.) and manage outsourced marketing projects.
Analyze territories (geomarketing) and propose direct marketing actions based on the various market opportunities.
Organize the participation of certain distribution networks to special events (conferences, regional tours, etc) to increase the notoriety of the company and its products within the targeted groups.
Analyze, recommend and develop advertising programs and sponsorships as per the different business needs.
Manage a team of marketing professionals (performance management, staff engagement and development of human capital).
Your Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in Marketing or other disciplines related to the position`s responsibilities.
8 years of solid experience in marketing, market analysis, advertising, events, multidisciplinary project management.
Good understanding of the insurance and financial services market.
Bilingual (oral and written).
Organizational skills and results-oriented.
Capable of adapting to change.
Autonomy, interpersonal skills, commitment, desire to succeed and team work.
