Marketing Manager full-time
(Customer Premise Solutions Support Services)
Position Overview:
As part of the Business Product & Services team, you will assist with marketing Customer Premise Support Services. The focus will be specific to post-implementation maintenance and managed services for both the Enterprise and Small Business segments.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with Customer Premise Support Services product managers and marketing counterparts to develop, deliver, and maintain the following for these services:
- Quarterly marketing plan - Quarterly forecasting and budgeting
- Go to market model - Service delivery value proposition
- Packaging and pricing strategy
- TELUS Intranet (OneSource )/Internet
- Case studies - Client events and conferences
- Lead generation activities (direct mail, email, outbound call lead generation)
- Contract consolidation and management
- Internal and external communication/ media relations strategy and execution
- Customer statistics and analysis
- Vendor certifications and awards
- Competitive intelligence
- Analyst relations
- Salesforce.com
- Chatter and other knowledge sharing / blogging outlets
- Channel engagement feedback
- Marketing and branding customer facing web tools
- Sales training materials
- Sales toolkits and other aides
- Customer-facing sales sheets/ other tools
- Video Testimonials
- Representation in the TELUS Innovation Centers across Canada
- Oversee new product introduction channel and customer strategy
The sucessful candiate will also coordinate and execute training and general educational sessions with sales and other channel members.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of service marketing development and execution for telecommunications
- Knowledge of analysis, forecasting, business casing and presentation techniques
- Systems support and capital funding request development
- Familiarity with the Customer Premise Services Market
- Familiarity with Customer Premise Solutions technologies including LAN, WLAN, Unified Communications, Contact Centre, Conferencing
- Familiarity with Customer Premise Solutions vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, and others Required Skills & Abilities:
- Develop and execute a services marketing, communications, and training plans
- Develop complex long and short term financial forecasts and models
- Assessing new client loading and financial performance; analyze differences across product, region, market, submarket, channel dimensions, etc.
- Work with teams to track and anticipate competitive actions of national and regional players
- Experience with advertising and media agencies
- Ability to design and maintain knowledge sites such as Intranets and blogging outlets
- Proven experience to think outside-the-box and execute on ideas through to positive results
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to lead across organizational boundaries, including strong relationship management skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional and regional/local representatives (e.g. marketing communications, legal, trade marketing, web, channel, call centre(s), loyalty and retention, regional managers, DDM's, account managers) to develop go to market plans
- Leverage market performance, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to develop regional marketing strategies to deliver business results and to enhance the position of TELUS in a region/segment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups
- Bias towards action, positive attitude, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel Required
Professional Designation/Certification:
- Business degree; MBA preferred
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of marketing, or product management experience, or financial management experience in the telecommunications industry
- Professional experience within the Customer Premise Solutions & Support industry a plus
