Myseum is looking for a versatile and flexible marketer who has strong skills and will be responsible for building and expanding our audience and increasing our brand over the next stage of Myseum’s growth. You excel in creative strategic thinking/problem solving, execution and are committed to looking for new and/or innovative ways to communicate through various traditional & digital channels with a passion for driving results. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Communications:
- Serve as the lead and instigator of museum’s brand working with team and external contractors to best shape and vision the look and feel of the organization
- Contribute to the senior team’s discussion on vision and programming ensuring that audience and how to reach them is at the forefront of discussions
- Serve as the point person for the day-to-day delivery of creative and marketing projects
- Interpret creative and marketing briefs into conceptual ideas and can produce innovative, results-oriented solutions
- Oversee and led the design and manage the execution of various digital and print materials, including web & social media assets
- Maintain and oversee brand guidelines, donor recognition and ensure brand standards are respected and applied to all graphic elements
- Maintain marketing repository of all assets
- Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to video assets to brochures and case studies
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, review analytics, gain insight and analyze consumer behavior across all channels and adjust strategy and tactics accordingly
- Collaborate with key internal and when necessary external teams and contractors to spread key brand messages
Digital Marketing:
- Conceptualize, oversee and at times build components for digital campaigns including web, email, social and landing pages that are focused on audience acquisition and retention
- Manage and continuously improve the website including SEO, UX, content and general updates
- Set up and monitor SEM efforts
- Lead social media marketing efforts
- Continuously monitor the performance and analytics of various assets via Google Analytics, email marketing and social media marketing reporting dashboards
Project and Team Management :
- Lead and collaborate with the team and when necessary external contractors to create and execute effective marketing campaigns
- Support marketing project development through idea generation, recommendations, and plans to contribute to the optimization of marketing strategies
- Work and manage workflow for the marketing team, at times this will include marketing assistant, content specialist and designer as well as any team members or contractors when required
- Work closely with a content specialist and team to identify as well as deliver on all online assets
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key stakeholders, partners, agencies, and vendors
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work with external contractors and build and expand teams when required
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and other design programs (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Spark)
- Understands the fundamentals of SEO and online advertising
- Knowledge in managing Google Ads
- Proficient in Google Office Suite
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Search Console
- Comfortable with social media platforms with an understanding of the principles and practices of social media marketing, including paid social to drive traffic to the website and to generate leads
- Excellent attention to detail, results-focused, and ability to quickly problem solve
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-Secondary education; University/ College Diploma in Marketing, Communications or the equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing and communications
- Strong communication skills and high level of professionalism
- Interest in developing strong leadership, mentoring and working collaboratively
- Nimble thinker, problem solver and ability to think outside the box
- Understanding of advanced design principles, copywriting, marketing fundamentals, campaign development, and marketing promotion

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role will work standard business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends required to support programming. Pending COVID-related public health guidelines, this role will be required to split their time between Myseum’s office (401 Richmond West) and work from home (a laptop will be provided).
