Marketing & Communications Manager full-time

TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is accepting applications for the full-time position of: Marketing & Communications Manager

Reporting to the Senior Manager Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager will facilitate the strategic development and execution of marketing and communication plans for TIFF.
Responsibilities:
Shall include but not limited to:
- Build integrated marketing and communications plans to engage target market(s) and media
- Lead creative campaign development and execution of tactical plans including departmental collateral & event branding plans
- Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and help establish new and innovative approaches to reaching audiences
- Plan and execute TIFF communications strategies
- Manage media relations, press events and press screenings
- Write external and internal documents, including press releases
- Reporting and analysis – leverage consumer research and internal data to uncover trends and provide recommendations
- Prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations
Relationship Management
- Responsible for managing relationships with internal departments and communicating relevant marketing/communications plans and tactics to them
- Work with suppliers and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of campaign elements
- Build and maintain relationships with media, publicists, producers, bloggers, influencers etc.
- Identify prospects & develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders and marketing promotional partners
- Hire, on-board, train and coach interns/co-ops (as needed)
Budget Management
- Plan and accurately track revenue & expenses, ensuring all annual targets are met
- Assist with budget recommendation and resource requirements
- Obtain cost estimates, and negotiate with vendors to maximize budget efficiency
- Manage PO Process

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar
- Minimum 3 years Marketing Communications experience, or relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative marketing and communications plans
- Previous experience and interest in loyalty programmes an asset
- Strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Interest in arts and culture, and film an asset
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and react quickly to change in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret problems and provide solutions
- Ability to work flexible hours as required, including some evenings and weekends
