Junior Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. Working closely with the Senior Designer and reporting to the Owner, we are looking for this candidate to be able to work independently and as part of a team, as well as have the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with the senior designer on packaging dielines, ensuring artwork is within brand
• Work with the senior designer on layout design for seasonal company catalogues
• Design in-house creative materials as required
• Retouch images for use on web
• Website updates
• Provide support to other team members in revising, updating and modifying all graphic files as changes and corrections arise
• Work with brand managers on client artwork
• Organize project files and archive finished projects

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Graphic Design
• 1-2 years of experience; in-house preferred
• Proficiency in Mac using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Exceptional eye for detail with stress on strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of production and pre-press process
• Knowledge of web content management systems
• Knowledge of the principals of good design, such as layout, colour theory and typography
• Ability to work independently but also be able to communicate effectively with managers and departments
• An interest in the beauty industry; past experience in the cosmetics/beauty industry is considered a plus but not a requirement
