GRAPHIC / WEB DESIGNER

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience creating visual communications for both print and web media, and possess a Bachelor of Design. Your portfolio will include a range of designs that demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity, and a sensitivity towards business and marketing objectives. You will be responsible for the creative conceptualization, design, production and coordination of a variety of project and marketing collateral. Assignments may include: web and information design, reports, open house boards, proposals, awards submissions and stationery applications. In addition, your role will require you to help periodically with project research and administrative duties (e.g., project filing on the server, archiving of printed reports). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Work under the supervision of the Graphic Design Manager and project architects to ensure designs are consistent with the Henriquez brand and effectively communicate desired messages
• Develop original ideas and creative solutions to solve visual design challenges
• Consistently create high-quality, well thought out and designed visual communications for print and
  digital platforms
• Take minutes of meetings, filing, general office organization
• Clearly communicate design concepts to the team and incorporate design feedback
• Work within project schedules and meet regular deadlines

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Design in communication or interaction design from a 4-year degree program
• Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with / understanding of branding and the role graphic design in bringing brands and ideas to life
• Able to work independently under the direction of the Graphic Design Manager
• Comfortable working in Wordpress
• Strong knowledge of pre-press and preparing files for print
• Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
