Graphic Design Team Lead full-time
Working closely with a team of Marketing, Communication, and Design professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this position provides graphic design leadership and expertise for company-wide and local projects.

Working closely with a team of Marketing, Communication, and Design professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this position provides graphic design leadership and expertise for company-wide and local projects.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Brand
- Working directly with the Director, Marketing & Communications, as well as with marketing and communication colleagues across North America, the Team Lead, Graphic Design leads the visual communication component of corporate identity materials, promotional campaigns, company-wide projects, and local projects, as required
- Contributes to the development and implementation of Stantec’s visual brand from a creative perspective to communicate Stantec’s values, vision, and key messages to our diverse audiences
- Responsible for developing and maintaining effective design programs (including templates) to enable streamlined development and delivery of marketing projects
- Provides support for regional/local graphic projects and initiatives as required
Design Team Leadership
- Provides leadership in visual communication to graphic designers across the company
- Facilitates company-wide design team meetings, and fosters the sharing of best practices/innovations across the design team
- Responsible for project management and scheduling of multiple complex projects for our diverse client base
- Provides design direction on company-wide projects, ensuring accuracy, visual appeal, attention to detail, creativity, and meeting budgets and timelines on all projects
- Responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and ongoing management of three direct reports
- Conducts annual and semi-annual performance reviews and professional development coaching to team members
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with internal and external suppliers for printing, paper, software, training, and other materials as needed
Qualifications
- Seven to ten years professional graphic design experience, preferably in an agency setting or in a related industry
- Degree or diploma in Visual Communication Design
- Experience supervising a team
- Passion for visual communication design and branding
- Experience in leading a re-brand initiative (desirable but not required)
- Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills
- Self directed, high energy individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Strong team player
- Excellent working knowledge of PC platform and advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite Design Standard programs, and PowerPoint are essential
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- CGD status with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada is preferred
Other Requirements
The successful candidate must be available to work some overtime to meet project deadlines on an as needed basis.
The successful candidate should have access to a vehicle and have a current driver’s license.
