The agency developed the Agent Digital Experience (ADX) to solve chronic efficiency problems for agents. The Corporate & Events division has four offices and 100 corporate travel and event planners specializing in corporations looking for a tailored and full-service travel management solution. The Tours division, Kensington Tours, has 150 destination experts and offers custom and private guided tours to over 90 countries worldwide.
Position Summary
The E-Mail Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s email marketing campaigns, the databases that support those campaigns and maximizing revenue opportunities from the company’s CRM and customer database. Working closely with the VP, Digital Marketing, the successful candidate will own and define the long-term vision and strategic plan for email evolution. This role requires a results-oriented individual who will work collaboratively with a small team focused on brand marketing and lead generation across several brands. A strong analytical background is required to translate complex data into actionable and profitable marketing initiatives. This role will be driven by and measured on a defined set of KPIs and reports to the VP Digital Marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Management
- Maintains a clean database
- Drives database growth
- Manages/minimizes database unsubscribes.
- Oversees the input of clients into the database and segments the database for mass personalization
- Recommends ways to improve database management
Develops and manages great E-Mail campaigns
- Develops and manages on-going evolution of responsive email templates and campaign assets - high quality e-mail campaign strategy that minimizes unsubscribes and maximizes openings and click through’s using a good understanding on frequency, time of day, headlines, content etc.
- Works with marketing/creative and business owners to ensure brands are properly positioned & represented through all email communications with a consistent brand tone.
- Identifies and implements remarketing campaigns against different segments of the database – personalizes message based on the segment.
- Works as company contact with ESP provider What Counts
Tests, learns and enhances E-mail marketing campaigns to drive business results
- Sets up and manages trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize leads / sales.
- Analyzes current email marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvement
- Tracks and reports on email campaigns results – delivered, opens, click throughs, leads generated etc. and guides improvements.
- Conducts A/B & multi-variant testing to continually learn and improve campaigns.
- Creates reports to executive team and business owners on KPIs including leads / sales / revenue generated through email marketing campaigns.
E-Mail Marketing Expertise
- Monitors industry and competitive intelligence to stay on top of leading-edge email technology and report on trending and untapped opportunities.
- Ensures all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.
- Works closely with the VP Digital to ensure all email and digital strategies are coordinated and integrated.
Skills & Requirements
- Diploma or undergraduate degree preferably in a communication, marketing, digital marketing.
- Formal training in Email marketing - proven knowledge of the email marketing best practices, tools and trends including evolving ESP landscape, mobile first design/considerations and more.
- Previous experience as an email marketing manager and/or multiple years of relevant experience either at a marketing agency or in-house
- Proven knowledge of Google Analytics & campaign tracking and attribution methods and tools.
- Strong analytical skills – able to segment database for different messages
- Previous experience with ESP provider What Counts an asset
- Confident, disciplined and assertive with excellent influencing and persuasion skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage projects across multiple brands with multiple business unit owners.
- Detail oriented with good written and oral communications skills.
- A team player and self-starter that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative with limited resources, and making data-driven and decisions.
