Director, Direct Response (National) full-time
Reporting to the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, Shannon von Kaldenberg, this position will serve as the national head of direct response. The Director, Direct Response will provide day-to-day management, leadership, direction, support and encouragement to a team of skilled professionals and managers who are responsible for acquisition and renewal of annual donors.
The Director, Direct Response will have a proven track record in the development and implementation of direct response strategy and plans including 7 to 10 years of experience leading a complex multi-channel direct response program. They will also possess expertise in best practices in database management and donor relations in a donor-driven organization where the focus was on strengthening the donor lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader who has demonstrated success at coaching, mentoring and inspiring teams to achieve their objectives. As an inclusive team player, the successful candidate will be highly collaborative and will possess superior social intelligence and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a visionary thinker with a strong results-orientation coupled with their exceptional organizational planning and implementation skills. The Director will possess a university degree, nonprofit experience and previous experience in a national organization collaborating with colleagues in diverse locations.
