Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping to develop and grow our digital footprint at Grand&Toy. You are passionate about digital marketing and have proven capabilities in multiple digital channels, including email, SEM/SEO, social media, mobile and web. You are part creative, part analyst and know how to use testing and results to improve and optimize. You are super organized and can juggle multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing digital elements for all marketing campaigns
- Set up and deploy email through our Email Service Provider (ESP)
- Support processes, quality control checkpoints and guidelines for customer-facing email communications including compliance with PIPEDA and CASL
- Develop new segmentation based for email on behavioural targeting
- Work to improve our email offering and find creative ways to build our subscriber base
- Ensure all digital projects are executed smoothly, on time and on budget
- Review performance of all campaigns using various analytics tools and provide feedback to Marketers
- Drive digital marketing best practice; provide expertise and consultation on all digital tactics in the Marketing team
- Create and manage editorial calendars for social media
- Provide content (ie posts, tweets) for social media
- Manage monthly SEM budget

Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years experience creating and executing marketing programs using email, online and social media
- Proficient in eblast set-up and deployment using third party vendor relationship (Cheetahmail)
- Understanding of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) preferred
- Understanding of social media as a marketing tactic
Proficiency in web analytics including Omniture (SiteCatalyst)
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Macromedia Suite (Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks)
- Experience with HTML, DHTML, XML and JavaScript
- Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
