UX Design Coordinator contract

Job Overview:
Qtrade is seeking an individual with digital design skills, who will work as part of our Digital Experience team to support various digital projects.
The individual must be able to manage a number of moving parts for each project, coordinating across departments and/or stakeholders. As such, the role suits a creative and detail-oriented individual who has experience designing for digital products / platforms and who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, update and/or maintain web pages using a robust CMS
- Create online designs that meet business objectives / requirements
- Follow an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple projects, prioritizing deliverables
- Clearly communicate and manage expectations throughout the duration of the project
- Create user interface design solutions as a part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide rationale behind design decisions to various stakeholders
- Reflect brand standards and guidelines to ensure that interface designs meet business requirements and user needs
- Collaborate effectively with UX and UI designers, copywriters and a software development team to ensure a smooth transition of design into development
- Conduct appropriate usability testing for different project phases, as assigned
- Adapt to the needs and requirements of each project
- Support various online design projects, as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of work experience as a key member of a digital design team
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team, handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Excellent design skills, production value and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of prototyping and design tools
- Strong understanding of web standards and languages (e.g. HTML and CSS)
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager
- Responsive and adaptive design experience is an asset
- Awareness of Accessibility requirements is an asset
- Experience working in the brokerage / investments / financial industry is preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with shifting priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
