Curious Communications is hiring a Designer!

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves the idea of working in a small shop with a diverse client list
• Is a detail-oriented self manager who wants a flexible work arrangement
• Is passionate about both pixels and paper

Responsibilities:

• Designing eye-popping, user-friendly digital experiences, stunning print pieces and clean icons and logos
• Staying up-to-date with new technology and assessing how it can be used in upcoming projects
• Collaboration with other designers and developers to envision and iterate concepts

Skill Requirements:

• BFA/BA in Graphic/Web Design or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Visual/Graphic/Web Designer
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute innovative interactive concepts and print solutions
• Strong grasp of design principles: including typography, iconography, color, imagery, and composition
• Excellent knowledge of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience across both desktop and mobile
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong technical knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of print processes and pre-press procedures

Additional Skills:

• Experience with WordPress and other content management systems
• Experience with PHP, Javascript and libraries such as jQuery
• Expertise with Microsoft Office
• A great sense of humour
