Creative Web UI/UX Developer

Partnerpedia is looking for a creative front-end developer with the talent, passion and experience to create state of the art online experiences that are eye-catching and user-friendly. The successful candidate will have HTML/ DHTML/ Javascript/ AJAX experience and closely track emerging web front-end technologies in order to appropriately incorporate them into their work.

The Front End Developer will work as an integral part of our experienced Ruby on Rails product development team in an Agile Environment and interact with members of our Design, PM, DBA, QA and Sales departments. The incumbent will have a keen knowledge of user experience best practices, and be able to interpret our customers' requirements with ease, and creatively translate them into attractive and functional web front ends. The candidate will be passionate about exceeding our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Developing excellent web UI that accurately reflects our product requirements
• Ensuring excellent usability of user experiences
• Developing strong RIAs using a variety of technologies
• Contributing to client meetings to ensure accurate UI requirements are gathered
• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure product delivery meets expectations
• Maintaining a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate
• Contributing to documentation creation (mock-ups, user flows, user manuals, etc.)
• Actively participating in brainstorming sessions
• Providing accurate time estimates
• Doing whatever it takes to ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree
• 3+ years of web development experience
• Excellent proven rich internet application development experience
• Excellent HTML/DHTML, Java Script, AJAX, Flash and CSS skills
• Excellent Illustrator and Photoshop CS4 skills
• Experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
• Advanced understanding of browser/platform compatibility issues
• Knowledge of emerging web technologies
• Desire to work in a Ruby on Rails & Agile environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• 'Can do' attitude
