Corporate Web Officer (Social Media) full-time
As the Corporate Web Officer, you will work as a member of WCB’s Communications Department and support the delivery of a corporate communications strategy through demonstrated excellence in the development and management of web based communications and social media platforms. You will serve as a resource to internal clients regarding practical application of web based and social media technology. You will develop web content and architectures and provide consultation on web guidelines, policies, web-based technologies and social media and other relevant materials. In addition, you will develop and adhere to content management practices and policies, and be responsible for maintenance of the information architecture on WCB websites and social media platforms. You will also support WCB’s reputation and brand management by monitoring and reporting on the WCB’s online presence, as well as provide statistical reports to senior management and content owners on web metrics.
Qualifications include three years post-secondary education with an emphasis in communications, and/or new media/digital media, supplemented with 5 years’ successful experience within a corporate environment demonstrating the ability to maintain web sites and intranets using content management systems, including information architecture, page layout and design graphics, HTML, web statistics and indexing development. Expertise in WordPress is required.
