Maxxam Analytics, the largest privately owned analytical laboratory network in Canada, is looking for a Communications Coordinator. Join our creative and dynamic Communications team to promote the company, support key business initiatives and contribute to employee engagement. As an integral part of the team, the
Communications Coordinator works with other internal and external stakeholders on a variety of national campaigns and programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with contacts across the country to plan, manage and measure national campaigns that communicate the company brand and other initiatives
- Create and produce print or electronic materials such as postcards, posters, videos, calendars or reports to support a variety of communications projects
- Support, develop and promote the company’s social media initiatives
- Write, edit and post content on corporate intranet and website
- Suggest new ideas, approaches and mediums to improve impact of corporate communications
- Act as a resource for corporate and employer brand standards and communications best practices
- Support Corporate Communications Manager and Senior Management on special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related discipline
- Fluent English, including strong verbal and written communications
- Minimum of 2 years related professional experience
Skills:
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, content management systems (WordPress); Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/InDesign)
- Experience with social media in a business environment an asset
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Enthusiastic team player, open to learning new skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with various levels within the organization
