Communication Specialist full-time

Alberta Education's Workforce Planning and Development branch is looking for a talented and creative individual to use his or her passion for communications and social media to make a significant contribution to the K-12 education system in Alberta. The successful candidate will confidently create, design, enhance and support a broad variety of communication tools and strategies that that will ultimately have far reaching impacts on the lives of the students and teachers that we serve.
Working within a collaborative team environment, you will challenge the boundaries of innovation in communications. You will use your knowledge of video and website design, document design and production and social media with your flair for writing and your passion for making a difference. Your personality is engaging and this allows you to work effectively with clients and stakeholder in meeting their information needs.
At the end of your work day, you will be able to sit back and know that your work mattered to the students, parents, teachers, boards and other education stakeholders in Alberta's education sector.
Qualifications
As a recent graduate of a technical program in web and document design (related or equivalent fields welcome), you will bring with you remarkable skills in the area of HTML, Umbraco, Adobe CS and Microsoft Office. Experience with creative and technical writing projects, communications planning, web communications, and/or social media is also required.
Salary
$2,113.48 - $2,772.38 bi-weekly. ($55,161 - $72,359 annually)
