Care and Content Label Developer
lululemon athletica Founded in 1998 in beautiful Vancouver, BC lululemon athletica creates
components to live longer, healthier more fun lives. Product Development Team To oversee the
creation and commercialization premium performance product ensuring it is performing for the
intended end use through garment fit and construction and is meeting the required quality standards
through lab and wear-testing in accordance with lululemon business goals and global regulatory
compliance requirements.
a day in the life of a Care & Content Label Developer
• Develop and Manage all product Labels containing Care Instructions and Content as per global
compliance regulations. Own the label development with 3rd party supplier. Establish & maintain the
process for label data accuracy to enable customs clearance across countries where product will be
shipped.
• Coordinate sizing conversion for size ranges on labels, as required by global compliance, for
guest clarity. Collaborate with Fit Engineer team for body sizes & Grading Expert for size range and
relevance to standard sizing across Countries.
• Manage product care & content, and sizing conversion information with 3rd party translation
service agency. Ensure translation accuracy and validation. Manage all data in PLM system so it is
available for Developers to include in BOM and for factory reference in a timely manner to enable
factory to order and print labels for bulk manufacturing
• Manage rules for label placement in product.
• Collaborate with Raw Materials, Development, Fit Engineer/Pattern team, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing, and Packaging Developer to ensure care & content and size conversions areaccurate for global distribution.
The finer print required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fine Arts, Economics or related field
• 3+ years of global compliance regulations
• Strong understanding of the content required for labels in order to met the requirements of the USand Canadian customs agencies
Proven experience with project management and timely results.
• Experienced in working with manufacturers across Asia, and has the proven ability to developrelationships with sites and initiate new programs
• Understanding of raw materials, fiber content, and global compliance regulations
• Strong team player, knowledge of x-functional team accountabilities and requirements preferred, including raw materials, development, fit engineering, quality & compliance
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, Microsoft office applications and Outlook)
• Knowledge of product creation calendar timeline, logistics and able to work against deadlines
