As a dynamic and growing Calgary-based branding, design and advertising agency, Fulcrum is seeking a full-time Art Director with the right combination of skill set and personality to fill a challenging and rewarding opening in our award-winning, creative-led company.

Core Responsibilities:

• Establish a progressive design direction and visual approach for client projects and campaigns through the application of fresh and inventive creative strategies
• Provide artistic direction for design, illustration, typography, photography, film and animation
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, strategists, programmers and account service team

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Agency employment experience
• Proficiency as a tastemaker for design, advertising and digital projects
• Interest in popular culture and design trends
• Comfort working independently and with a high degree of attention to detail
• Professional skills using creative tools for Mac operating systems
• Commitment to developing positive working relationships with colleagues and outside partners/vendors
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to explain and support your original ideas
• Resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
